Leviton is meeting the unique security needs of the European marketplace with both EN50131 Grade 2 and PD6662 Compliance for OmniPro II, Omni IIe, and Omni LTe integrated automation and security systems. While the Omni system has long been globally revered as a powerhouse in the home automation industry, this lack of compliance has left our European partners unable to meet all of the demands of their security customers. New part numbers have been established to accommodate firmware and hardware versions specific to this marketplace, which include required tamper switches, ensuring the door remains closed and that the enclosure remains installed against a solid surface. Additionally, a tamper kit is now available for placement in any of the 33A00 series Omni consoles. For larger applications like residential estates, a new version of the 16 input/16 Output expansion enclosure is available as well.

These new Omni systems feature the same connectivity and applications as our standard Omni controllers, yet comply with EN50131 Grade 2 and PD6662 for confirmed police response. So what’s different besides the tamper detection? New arming/disarming methods, shunt lock incorporation, enhanced event log, temporary lockout when entering an invalid code, an entry/exit follower, adjustment to security code usage and visibility, and user authorized firmware updates.
